Wow! What a year it has been!!!
2020 woke me up- woke me up- to see that with change comes opportunity.
2020 was a year of unexpected change for most people. I time-traveled back to middle school and third grade via homeschooling my children. I had to close my school and then do whatever it took to open again in September. Change also meant becoming conscious of my reactions to the toss-and -turn of these ever-shifting waters. My new mantra became, “it is what it is.” What else was there to do?
“It is what it is” was not a graceful acceptance of What Is. It was a mantra that revealed a limiting belief of being powerless and overwhelmed when life threw unexpected changes my way.
So what could I do?
Change the belief - Change the words!
CHANGE = OPPORTUNITY
As I shifted my thinking, I started to believe that there is an opportunity for something new with every change. With every change, there is an opportunity to become a better person. With every change, the Universe was guiding me to a life aligned with my heart.
Every person, circumstance, or delay that triggered a negative emotion in me consciously awoke and energized me. These moments of change were initially met with resistance - a hopeless surrender - until I chose to see them as an opportunity. I was the one who needed to change, and there was always something to learn.
This perspective created a life-changing shift!
If I was unhappy with how someone communicated with me, I asked myself, “How can I communicate better in my life?” If I was disappointed with my children’s education, what can I do to create what they need? If I started feeling limited by an outside circumstance, then what do I need to learn?
Instead of finding fault with things outside myself, I became more empowered.
Like my upstairs home renovation project, my walls were coming down. I was adding in stronger support beams, and a new layout emerged in my life. Initially, on the outside, nothing looked different.
The change within lead to greater support, freedom, divine timing, and experiences that awakened me to see how truly empowered we all are in life.
What beliefs and feelings do you have that hold you down or keep you in a rut?
Maybe you have been unconscious of your own limiting beliefs or thoughts. Let your words and feelings guide you.
My teacher Dr. Levry says this: “Feelings are the language of the subconscious mind whereas words are the language of the conscious mind. Our emotions are there to give us feedback. When you are aligned to your true self, you feel great. If your inner programming is causing you pain, then you are not aligned to your true self.”
Pay attention to how you speak to yourself, what you believe, and how you label your thoughts and feelings.
When you start becoming more aware of your feelings, limiting beliefs, and the words you speak to and about yourself, then you begin the journey to living your potential. You start saying and attracting what you want from this beautiful, ever-changing life of infinite possibilities.
May your beliefs and feelings be a positive guiding light in your life.
Deepen Your Practice: A beautiful tool to add to one’s life is to listen to Dr. Levry’s soundtracks of Metaphysical Codes. These soundtracks bring Divine Wisdom and words into your life as you let go of limiting beliefs and create a clear pathway of empowering beliefs.
The one I listen to in the morning is for “Infinite Possibilities.”
